Email Encryption System

Your privacy is extremely important to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware (BCBSD), and we consistently work to protect it. Effective October 1, 2008, we are enhancing our email encryption system. This encryption system will secure any email from BCBSD containing sensitive or confidential information automatically.

If you receive an encrypted email, it will now direct you to visit a secure web portal to access the message. Your first visit to the portal will require you to set up a password-protected account. After that, you will be able to use this account to access your secure messages from BCBSD.

For hearing-impaired assistance in Delaware, please call 800.232.5460 to reach a representative of the relay service. All other BCBSD hearing-impaired members may call 711, which is AT&T’s National Relay Service number for hearing-impaired assistance.

Hours:
Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 7:00pm.

Our automated system (VRU) is available Monday through Friday, 24 hours a day, and Saturday until midnight for:

  • enrollment information

  • claims status

  • verify authorizations

  • id card requests

You may also use the automated system 24/7 to access our Help Library.
